Chez Mama Sacko & Fils
Badoit
Visual identity for Chez Mama Sacko & Fils, a two-day pop-up imagined by chef Mory Sacko as the restaurant his mother might have opened. Created as part of Bulles de Joie, a program by Badoit and Phamily First that gives chefs the chance to bring a personal culinary dream to life, the identity was designed to reflect both emotional resonance and rich cultural heritage.

The visual language combines the vibrant warmth of West African maquis with the refined charm of traditional French bouchons lyonnais. The aim was to evoke a sense of heritage and family, while remaining joyful and accessible.

As Bulles de Joie supports a range of culinary pop-ups, the identity needed to be flexible. We developed a dynamic visual system built around modular bubble forms—adaptable to different chefs, menus, and settings—while maintaining a cohesive tone of celebration and creativity.
